Our
programs outside of the USA are now under the umbrella
of our new non- profit organization: ASSOCIATION
OF INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EXCHANGE.
AIDE
was created in 2007 in order to allow Alliance Abroad
Group to expand its reach and to give back to the
local and global communities, as well as create socially
responsible citizens. AIDE now operates independently
from Alliance Abroad Group, but continues to draw
from its 16 years of expertise and experience in program
management and support.
Take your
enthusiasm and passion for learning and helping people
to Peru, where you can work on a healthcare project
that will allow you to experience first-hand the Latin America healthcare system.
You and your group members can spend anywhere from
2 weeks to 4 weeks providing assistance to doctors
and nurses in local hospitals and medical clinics.
Depending on Spanish level and experience, you will
be able to rotate through the emergency room, pediatrics,
obstetrics, internal medicine, and even surgery, gaining
experience by both observing a variety of procedures,
and at times providing direct assistance to the physicians.
*** Please note that specific details, such as exact
work hours and the type of work, can only be determined
by expertise, skills, and attitude. Also, some programs
do have special requirements that are need to be accepted.
*** Number of participants for group programs is flexible
for up to 10 people. If you would like to arrange
a program for a group of more than 10 people, AAG
will be happy to assist you in creating a customized
program for your group’s needs. Please contact
an AAG representative for more information.

Visa
Documentation:
Most tourist visas are valid for up to 3 months. We
recommend checking with your local Peruvian consulate
for the most up to date visa information.
Language
Classes:
Optional
language classes are available in Lima, prior to your
volunteer program. Language classes are a great way
to be introduced to a new country and improve your
Spanish skills. Classes are held prior to starting
your volunteer work and are usually one-on-one sessions
with a personal tutor. Classes are 10 hours per week
(2 hours/day) for an additional USD$400/week and include
homestay accommodations and meals. These classes are
highly recommended, especially if you are a beginner
or have not practiced your Spanish recently. [return

Tour
Options:
Please contact your AAG Representative for more information
on the tours that are available. Tours are a great
way to experience the local culture and natural wonders
of Peru, and are a very economical way to see more
of this beautiful country.
You may choose to schedule a tour for anywhere from
a few days to over a week, the choice is yours! We
find that many of our participants choose to participate
in a short-term volunteer project, and then enjoy
tours on the weekend or after they have completed
the time they committed to the project.

Funding
your experience:
For many, the most difficult part of embarking
on an international journey is being able to fund
your experience abroad. Luckily, there are many
organizations and individuals out there who are
happy to donate money to a good cause, like yours.
