Cancellation and Refund Policy

This policy addresses how Alliance Abroad Group handles cancellation and/or refund requests for programs purchased online through the www.allianceabroad.com website only. Other programs will have specific Terms & Conditions with outline the respective program’s cancellation and refund policy. The term “Participant” refers to the person applying for placement within the program… that’s you.

Please note that services begin immediately after any initial payment; deposit amount or full program fee. Prices quoted are in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise specified.Below you will find the refund policies for:

  1. Work & Travel Pro or Work & Travel Plus Australia Programs
  2. Work & Travel Arrival Australia Packages

1) Work & Travel Pro or Work & Travel Plus Australia programs

The following conditions apply to the Work & Travel Pro and Work & Travel Plus Australia program fee and does not include any payments by the Participant for flights, visas or other travel expenses.

The following fees will be assessed upon written notice of cancellation of your selected Work & Travel Pro or Work & Travel Plus program:

Refunds prior to Arrival in Program/Placement Country:

No refund of any fees will be made to the Participant if the Participant chooses to cancel enrollment in the program.  No exceptions will be made for any reason, including but not limited to illness or death of the participant, illness or death of a family member or friend of the participant, dislike of host city, accommodations, or training position, or homesickness.  Alliance Abroad Group suggests that Participants should purchase trip interruption insurance for this coverage.

If Alliance Abroad Group cannot place the Participant in a guaranteed job or find an open opportunity, Alliance Abroad Group will refund the deposit.

If the Participant’s application for Visa is denied, a non-refundable program deposit and $50 USD administration fee will be due to Alliance Abroad Group.

Refunds after Arrival in Program/Placement Country:

Once program attendance has begun, no refunds will be granted regardless of the length of time remaining for the scheduled program(s). Cancellation and trip interruption insurance may be purchased on a supplemental basis through various travel insurance policies.

Requesting Cancellation or Refund: 

Any request for refund or request to cancel participation in the program must be made in writing. Notify your assigned enrollment coordinator immediately via email and send your written request to Work & Travel Australia c/o Alliance Abroad Group, 1645 East 6th Street, Suite 100, Austin TX 78702.


2) Work & Travel Arrival Australia packages

Alliance Abroad Group is the coordinator of the services to be provided and acts only as an agent between the passenger and the principal supplier, thus Alliance Abroad Group does not hold any liability for actions of either the supplier or the passenger. Bookings are arranged and confirmed by Alliance Abroad International on the behalf of Alliance Abroad Group. Alliance Abroad International is the Australia-based on-ground support partner for Alliance Abroad Group.

Payment for Work & Travel Arrival Australia is due in full upon purchase of the package.

The following conditions apply to the Work & Travel Arrival Australia arrival packages and does not include any payments by the Participant/Purchaser for flights, visas or other travel expenses.

Refund Requests:

Once an order is submitted for this product, services begin immediately. Therefore, the purchase of any Work & Travel Arrival Australia package is non-refundable.

However, in the event that the purchaser/participant is denied a visa into Australia, Alliance Abroad Group will provide a refund of the package price minus a $100 USD administrative fee. Proof of visa denial is required to request a refund.

Amendments and Cancellations:

Date changes to your booking must be requested by the Participant prior to arrival. Contact Alliance Abroad International to request an amendment to your booking and wait confirmation from Alliance Abroad International and Alliance Abroad Group.

A $100 USD amendment fee will be charged to the Participant before any changes to the booking are finalized and confirmed.

If you fail to turn up for a reservation, you will incur a 100% no show fee and NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN.

No refunds are offered for cancellations by the Participant. However, in the event that the purchaser/participant is denied a visa into Australia, Alliance Abroad Group will provide a refund of the package price minus a $100 USD administrative fee. Proof of visa denial is required to request a refund.
