This beautiful Resort is perfectly poised on Four Mile Beach and nestled within 130 hectares of lush tropical gardens between the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. It is an oasis of luxury with its location only matched by the standard of indulgence, service and style the Resort is renowned for.

Tropical Beachfront ResortThe hotel was built in the mid 80s by a disgraced entrepreneur Christopher Skase – his story is quite fascinating. This establishment has been a 5 star hotel for many years now and the new owners are invested heavily in it – massive refurbish last January. There are 280 rooms and 135 villas (2, 3 or 4 bedroom) and at capacity there can be up to 1200 guests. The resort is huge! The salt water swimming pool alone is 5 acres, which provides a quiet atmosphere with even 500 guests present.

It has direct access to the beach (no other property in this area does) and is a great location. On the main road, served by buses next to a small shopping complex, the hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the restaurant strip (or a 2 min drive). As the resort is huge, guests are often driven around on buggies by the friendly staff.

With the tropical conditions, this place feels more like a resort than a hotel. Some of the more famous guests that frequent this resort are Bill Clinton, Clint Eastwood, John Travolta, Guns N Roses (set fire to their villa), and AC/DC (who had an informal jam session around the pool that some lucky guests got to listen to).

This is a really cool place!

You couldn’t ask for a better location to spend 6 months of your life.
You’ll be the envy of all your friends when you show them pictures of where you are living!
